Tri-City Book Club will review "Water for Elephants" on Wednesday, January 25 at 12:30 at South Euclid Community Center. You will be drawn into a world of ringmasters, elephants and sideshows, as well as nursing homes and old age. This book was on the New York Times Best Seller list for 12 weeks in 2006.
Healthy You Class will explore ways to manage chronic illness by learning better nutrition, ways to talk to your doctor or family, and techniques for dealing with stress, fatigue, pain and isolation. Safe Senior Driving Tips will be offered at the South Euclid Community Center on Thursday, January 19 at 12:30. Ohio Highway Patrol Officer Pat Malone will talk about how you can stay safe on the road and health changes that may affect your ability to drive safely.
Tai Chi for Arthritis free Demo Class will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Ross C. DeJohn Community Center. You will learn the gentle movements of Tai Chi that are easy on the joints and have been proven to decrease pain and discomfort. These exercises can be performed sitting or standing. The regular-fee sessions will begin on March 14 for a monthly fee of $5 per class, or a drop-in fee of $7 per class.
